Hermes Einrichtungs Service, also known as HES, headquartered in Löhne, Westphalia, is a company within the Otto Group and operates as a provider of logistics and services in the field of “2-man-handling” – and is even the market leader in this area. This means that we are usually called upon when the goods you have ordered are so large and heavy that a regular parcel service cannot deliver them.

As an end customer, unfortunately, you cannot directly commission us. Our clients are exclusively business customers, such as mail-order retailers and e-commerce platforms, manufacturers of furniture, major household appliances, and consumer electronics, as well as large furnishing stores or retail chains with their own online shops.

Our goal is to inspire you!

We aim to delight all recipients with excellent quality, high punctuality, and a comprehensive, perfect service experience. For you, this means that we coordinate the desired delivery date with you and give you a phone call approximately one hour before the delivery on the day of arrival. We deliver your new sofa set or washing machine on time, carry it up to the desired floor, and place it in your living spaces. We assemble, we install, and at the end, we dispose of the packaging material – depending on the agreement with our clients. If you notify us in advance, you can also hand over your old furniture or used appliances for disposal.

Since 1974, we have been delivering furniture and large appliances under the name Hermes Einrichtungs Service. With approximately five million deliveries, we are the market leader in 2-man-delivery in Germany. Additionally, we have one of the largest 2-man-handling networks in Europe. With three hub locations in Löhne (Germany), Ansbach (Germany), and Mosina (Poland), as well as over 100 depot locations mostly operated by partners, we comprehensively meet the needs of demanding shippers and recipients alike.

Our Services for Recipients

We are all aware that our services are of utmost importance. They make the difference between a simple delivery and an outstanding customer experience. Premium is therefore our standard. Below, we briefly introduce our comprehensive services that ensure smooth and comfortable delivery and provide you with real added value. Our customer promise is our daily motivation: We deliver enthusiasm.
As the recipient, we will notify you of the delivery date within one of three time windows as standard. Additionally, there is an option for delivery during the after-hours time window. The notification will be sent via phone, SMS, and email.
Our customer portal, myHES, provides you with access to all the information you need at any time. Here, you can view the delivery status of your shipment and, if necessary, update your data or change the delivery date. If you have any questions, our chatbot “Hermine” and our customer service team at the respective delivery depot are ready to assist you.
On the day of delivery, you can track the delivery vehicle in real-time with an estimated arrival time narrowed down to within ten minutes. This saves you from waiting around!
In addition, our delivery teams will contact you one hour before the scheduled delivery. This gives you the opportunity to prepare for the delivery – or, for example, leave work in time to be home.
Our 2-man teams will bring the shipment to the desired place in your living spaces – for example, to the living room of your apartment on the 5th floor or to the basement of your house.
Environmental protection concerns us all. Therefore, our teams will, of course, take away all the packaging material. When it comes to items like a new bed or sofa, there can be huge amounts of cardboard and plastic films, depending on the manufacturer or retailer, to ensure proper protection during transportation. These various packaging materials are disposed of properly or recycled at our facilities.

Additional services complete the shopping experience

In addition to the premium services mentioned above, we offer a variety of additional services that can be booked. Please note that the scope of services for the delivery of your goods depends on the agreements with our respective client – your retailer. Some of these services may also be individually bookable by you as the recipient. Detailed information and options can be found under the corresponding shipment in myHES.
We can also deliver even faster, after work hours, or on weekends – with our “Speed On” delivery (within 48 hours) and after-hours or Saturday delivery. We have the appropriate options for every requirement.
We enable easy e-payment with HES Pay before or upon delivery. Our payment provider takes care of reliable and secure payment processing through direct transfer.
Cash on delivery is also possible for payment upon delivery.
Whether it’s beds, wardrobes, or entire living room sets – our highly trained customer service teams assemble all furniture pieces ready for use right on-site. You just need to choose the desired placement – we take care of the rest.
Our teams expertly connect both freestanding and built-in appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, or refrigerators. So that you can fill and inaugurate the appliances immediately.
We relieve you and, at the same time, contribute to environmental protection. Old appliances and used upholstered furniture are properly disposed of at our facilities.
