With around 8,000 employees at our headquarters, three logistics centers, and over 100 locations in our powerful international partner network, we supply over six million households in Germany and neighboring countries with furniture, large appliances, and other heavy goods every year. Our comprehensive coverage ensures reliable, fast, and customer-oriented service.

Headquarter in Löhne – 100% climate-neutral

Our corporate headquarters is located in Löhne, Westphalia. Approximately 230 employees manage our logistical processes in Germany and neighboring countries from here. Sustainability was a key focus during the construction of the modern administrative building. Heating and cooling are operated through geothermal energy, lighting is consistently done using LED technology, and all materials used were selected based on sustainable production and recyclability according to the guidelines of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council).

Comprehensive depot network

Key to our comprehensive and high-performance level of service and quality, even on the last mile, are long-term partnerships with our approximately 100 depot partners. Other quality features include qualified and regularly trained staff and very low turnover. The depots are managed by independent entrepreneurs who bring years of experience from the furniture logistics or moving industry.

Two large logistics centers in Germany

Our two new main transshipment bases (HUBs) in Germany, which we opened in 2016 and 2020, are among the most modern and largest logistics centers in Germany. Located in the northeast of North Rhine-Westphalia (Löhne) and in western Bavaria (Ansbach near Nuremberg), these sites are strategically located hubs for the integration into our logistics process and the distribution to our comprehensive depot network.

Our logistics center in Löhne, Westphalia, with its 100,000 m² of warehouse space, is one of the
largest logistics centers in North Rhine-Westphalia. Every day, we load over 200 trucks with up to 30,000 pieces of furniture and large items and send them on their way to our depots in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria. Opened in 2016, this state-of-the-art facility specializes in the logistical handling of furniture and large appliances.
What makes it special: For the first time in a logistics center for large items, warehousing (operated by Hermes Fulfilment) and goods handling are concentrated under one roof.
This streamlines our internal processes and allows us to provide even better service in two-man handling for retailers. And the environment also benefits: By combining storage and goods handling, we save around 300 tons of CO2 annually.
In addition, our range of services at this location includes returns management: On an area of 20,000 m², the items returned by customers are inspected, refurbished, or repaired by our colleagues at Hermes Fulfilment and then stored again.
To manage all of this, we currently employ around 1,000 employees, making us one of the largest employers in Löhne.
In 2020, we opened our second logistics center in the Gewerbepark Ansbach-West, in close proximity to Nuremberg. With a total area of 76,000 m², together with Hermes Fulfilment, we store and handle goods for our clients. This location employs over 600 employees.

Logistics location in Mosina near Poznań, Poland

In the 90,000 m² logistics center near Poznań, in the heart of the Polish furniture industry, up to 500,000 m³ of furniture, beds, and white goods from Eastern European furniture suppliers are delivered, stored, and handled annually. The deliveries and shipments per day are consolidated and directly forwarded to our depots for end customer delivery. This offers significant advantages, including reduced transportation costs, improved flexibility and transparency in the flow of goods, and shorter lead times between manufacturers and end customers.

We also deliver outside of Germany

Our network extends far beyond the borders of Germany. With our extensive European 2-man
handling network, we deliver to Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland in well-established partnerships. We guarantee you the same level of service and quality that you are accustomed to from Hermes Einrichtungs Service in Germany.
